Haier is known for its pen design cellphone. And now they’ve launch the Haier P8, another pen design cellphone. If you’re looking for a different kind of cellphone, you can consider Haier P8 as your cellphone. With this cellphone, your cellphone will be one of a kind. With 146 x 29.1 x 16.5mm in size and only 65g in weight, this cellphone will fit in your pocket nicely. Haier P8 works in triband network, GSM 900, GSM 1800, and GSM 1900.

But although the design is very unique, but the features that Haier P8 had to offer is very simple. For ringtones, it already support polyphonic and MP3. But there’s no application installed to play MP3, so it’ll need third party application to play MP3. It also doesn’t have a radio in it. The screen already use TFT screen with 65K colors. With 500 entries in phone book, you wouldn’t find a hard time saving your friends phone number.

The Haier P8 doesn’t support GPRS, EDGE or 3G so you can’t surf the internet with this cellphone. To transfer your data, you can only use the Bluetooth that was already installed in it. With no external memory slot, it’ll be hard to save large size data in the Haier P8. An additional value for this cellphone is the camera although it’s only VGA camera (640x480 pixels) but you can still have fun with it.

The P8 is another uniquely pen design from Haier. If you’re looking for a different kind of cellphone, the Haier P8 will definitely distinguish you from other cellphone owner. But don’t expect too much for this cellphone, since it only have standard features in it.

From the outside, this is a nice designed cellphone. Only available in black color, this Haier cellphone used very nice round bar design. The name black pearl suited with its beautiful design. However, when you look at the features it offer, the Haier Black Pearl isn’t so beautiful at all. Well, maybe if your using your cellphone just to call your friends and send SMS, you’ll find this cellphone usefull. But if you want more features, than this isn’t the cellphone for you.

The Haier Black Pearl is quite light with 64g in weight. The size is 90.6 x 35.3 x 18.2 mm. Haier Black Pearl still use OLED screen with 65K colors. This cellphone already support polyphonic ringtones and also MP3. It also has radio application and MP3 player, so for you who love to play MP3 music in your cellphone, Haier Black Pearl can be your choice for cellphone. With 128MB internal memory, you can save many MP3 songs, and it also has an external memory card slot (microSD – TransFlash). You won’t find camera in this cellphone, so you won’t be able to take pictures with this cellphone.

For you who want to surf the internet through your cellphone, you can’t do that with Haier Black Pearl since it doesn’t support GPRS. It doesn’t support EDGE or 3G either. So for messaging purpose, you can only send SMS and EMS, since you can’t send MMS via Haier Black Pearl. But for data transfer, the Black Pearl already equipped with Bluetooth and USB port.

You can’t expect too much from this cellphone. The Haier Black Pearl is beautiful in design but very standard in features. If you only need a cellphone to call your friends or send SMS, then Haier Black Pearl could be your choice for cellphone.
